| Comments: I live with my family in Maryland. We have four children born in '85, '89, '91 and '98 (David, Chrisie, Elisa, Carolyn). I was in the "Uturoa" district at the LTM with Elders Egan, Bytheway, Pond, Quinton, Barker & Sr. Van Loon. This was in Sep-Nov of '76 and we were among the early residents of the "new" LTM. It was dedicated while we were there and we were treated with a visit by Pres. Kimball and other General Authorities for the dedication. Elder Martinson was our Tahitian instructor, who blew us away with his "machine gun" Tahitian, i.e., very fast! Maratini brought in his sweet wife so we could meet and speak with our very first Tahitian. I served in Paea with Elder Lefevre and Elder Tahi. Elder Furin and I then sailed to Taenga -- aboard the Taporo III(?). We made it as far as Makemo before a broken tooth sent me back to Tahiti where I served in Taravao with Elder Alvarez. Next was Takapoto with Elder Houdin and then Taha'a with Elders Shan, Richey & Jones. | |
