It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of sister Ruth Mack, wife of President G. Wayne Mack. Grandma Ruth passed away last Wednesday of a sudden massive heart attack. She was visiting family in Utah. Her son Kenny was driving her to see her granddaughter and while she was reading the obituary of her grandson Denny's wife Wendy, she took one last breath and was gone. Her funeral will be held on Saturday May 14th at 11 a.m. in the Solomon LDS Chapel of the Safford First Ward. The family will receive friends Friday, May 13, 6-8 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Pima Cemetery next to her husband Wayne. Grandma Ruth was an amazing lady and had her full faculties all the way to the end. She had just spent the weekend at the baby blessing of one of her great-grandsons in San Diego and was on her way to a second in Utah. She was spending time with family as much as she could. She will be sorely missed. |
