Graduated from Kansas State Univ. in Geology BS'78, Soils MS'81. Married Lois Mountford (BS Elem. Ed. KSU'81) in Washington, DC Temple '78. Moved to Midland, Tx '81. Have worked as petroleum geologist for OXY, Pure, Unocal, Chevron, Petro-West, MPI, Piedra. Currently Energy Group Manager-LDS Church '09.
Have 4 children. Rachel'79 graduated from BYU'02 & married in Washington, DC Temple 1999 to Michael Headrick. Mike served mission in California, graduated from BYU'98 in Communication, & is morning anchor in Denver. They have 3 sons Dylan'04, Jack'06, Michael'09. Nathan'81 served mission in Recife, Brazil & married Stacie Jarvis (BYU grad & Brazil, Sao Paulo mission) in Houston Temple '06. Nate graduated from BYU in Physics '06 & is getting Phd Physics at Nebraska. They have 2 sons, Derek'07 & Jason'09. Dana'83 graduated from BYU'05 in Psychology/Business She married Steve Haynie (mission-Venezuela) in Salt Lake Temple'08. They have 1 daughter, Savanah'10.
