Comments:
June 10: Transferred to Capital Ward from DC 3rd West and best of all I'm in a car area - no more bike. My new companion is Elder Olson. I am going to miss DC 3rd and all the great people there, but I look forward to serve wherever I am. I am just glad I can serve my Heavenly Father and help with his work. Elder Olson and I will be awesome!!

Oct 1, 2008: Well I'm in Washington.
Yesterday when we arrived we went straight to the temple and Pres Mansell told us to go find someplace to be alone (outside the temple) and "check in with the Lord." It was pretty cool. Then we went to his house, did a little role-playing stuff, went over some technicalities, and ate. Then we had a testimony meeting that was way sweet. Sister Yu is straight from Hong Kong and can barely speak english and she came across so powerfully it was amazing.

My new companion is Elder Bond. He's from Utah (suprise!) and he;s been out for about 10.5 months. He's my father - the nickname you get when you're a trainer. I also met my grandfather there too! We live in a 2-bedroom apartment and share it with another companionship. The other companionship is Elder Hawkes (yes, my MTC companion) and Elder Hamblin from Seattle, WA. It's pretty cool. Our area, Beltsville, is pretty big and we've got a car, so I'll probably get fat.

Sister Mansell said to send mail and packages to the mission home and they will forward to us.

I'm excited. I'm ready to get to work and tell everyone! I know the Spirit will guide me and tell me what to do. Have faith in me and pray. DC is full of bad drivers and hard hearts, they say. The mission goal is 1 baptism a month (mission-wide) and I don't remember the other goals. I think I'll set my goals high.Elder Bonds seems really cool and I'm excited.

Alma 6:6 pray for those who dont know of God. We've got an important message to share with them.
