I served under Edward E. Drury August 1970-August 1972 Served as a Spanish speaking missionary. When the Spanish speaking work got slow I served as an English speaking Elder in the Baltimore area (Dundalk & Essex). My girl friend (now wife) was originally called to my mission but was changed a week prior to entering the Mission Home and went to the Florida South Mission. We have 7 children 3 sons have already served missions one even served as a Spanish speaking missionary in the U.S. (Chicago). Glad I found this sight I hope to hear from anyone from the Drury days! Hasta la vista.
News update:
I finally got to return to the DC area. In June of 2002 my father and I took my son Ben to Richmond, VA. On the way back we went through the D.C. temple. It was wonderful! |
