The day after getting home from my mission, this girl I knew drove me up into the canyons near SLC, presumably to discuss the prospect of marriage. After a very little though and prayer, I realized the answer was a definite "no!", which was a big relief considering the next 3-4 years at BYU were nothing but good times. Pres Oaks was also very helpful by not pushing the "M" word in my exit interview. About a month after graduating, I got married to my roomate's old girlfriend and in sort order we moved to Chicago, where I had obtained a job as an actuary. My wife finished a law degree at Northwestern and I'm currently working on an MBA there. Life's a little crazy with me trying to juggle work/kid/school/church, but at at least I know I will die one day and then I can rest for like two seconds before starting up the missionary work. |

LDS QUOTE: |
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
