Though quiet and shy, Ryan McEntire had a lot of good things to say once you got him talking, say family and friends. He loved nature and hunting and served as vice president of USU's Ag Tech Club.
Ryan dreamed of becoming a farmer and looked forward to marrying his sweetheart, Emily Kunz.
A native of West Point, Utah, Ryan was an agriculture machinery technology major at USU and had recently landed a new job in North Logan.
Prior to entering USU, Ryan served an LDS mission in Seattle. Joe Haslam served with Ryan and says, "I looked up to him so much. He was amazing. He gave one piece of advice that I took with me the entire mission: "We're not here to plant seeds, we're here to harvest.'"
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
