I studied computer science at the University of Utah and science fiction writing at Michigan State University's Clarion Workshop. My first published professional short story, "From Our Point of View We Had Moved to the Left," appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction in 1993. Since then, my work has been featured in many of the genre's leading periodicals, including Science Fiction Age and Realms of Fantasy. In 2002 my novelette "Dance of the Yellow-Breasted Luddites," from the anthology Vanishing Acts, was nominated for the Nebula Award by the Science Fiction and Fantasy |
