| While serving in Sutherland, we used to frequently eat with the Morely family. They were from the states on assignment with the CES. I was always impressed with how Bro. Morely would teach his kids from the scriptures during dinner. Sis. Morely was always making sure the house was clean. One evening, as we sat at the table, Sis. Morely asked her youngest son, Jed (4 yrs. old), to go wash his hands. He ran off, came back and we blessed the food. After the blessing, Jed reached for a roll and his hands were still dirty. Sis. Morely, gently but sternly told Jed to leave immediately and wash his hands. She would not have germs at her table. As Jed walked off he muttered, "Germs and Jesus, Germs and Jesus. That's all I ever hear around here and I've never seen either one of them!" |
