The following was sent in from Sister Jean (Hansen) Smith who also served in the California San Jose Mission:
Here's the President's message from the April 2005 mission reunion.
"Is your testimony as strong or stronger now than it was when you were on your mission? If not, what are you not doing to keep your testimony strong?
Are you praying everyday?
Are you reading the scriptures everyday?
Are you sharing your testimony with others often?
If you are not, you need to improve your spiritual life.
YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THE CHICKEN COOP, AND SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND FLY LIKE AN EAGLE, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE!"
By the way, Sister Moyes was in the hospital in January-February with quite a bout with pneumonia. President even said he wasn't sure if she was going to make it for awhile. But she is fine now and she even spoke at the mission reunion. You tell everybody you can contact that Sister Moyes says: "It is good to be spring and have a renewal of life. We can look forward to a renewal of life through Jesus Christ, too."
Update: President J. Blythe Moyes passed away on 24 July 2005. This is sent in Memoriam of him.
