From Mesa, AZ; Finished Ph.D. in History at ASU. Teaching at Central Missouri State University from 1972 to 2002 Church positions held: Elder's Quorum President, High Council (5 times) Bishop, Sunday School Teacher (Gospel Doctrine) and Patriarch of Kansas City Missouri Stake. DEC 2003 Church experience--Sealer St. Louis Temple. Elder L. Jerald Adams suddenly passed away Jan. 17, 2003 in Warrensburg, Missouri. Adams was at ASU at the same time I was and took degrees in history earning a degree in Asian or Japanese History at the University of Washington. He taught history at Northwest Missouri State University. I corresponded with Jerold periodically over the years and with his wife a couple of times after his death. He was good guy but he was in history not political science. Arvin Palmer

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
