work_phone: 801-776-4742, cell_phone: 801-690-0660,
I later served as mission president of the Korea Seoul mission from July 1982 to July 1985. I took seven children with me to Korea. Our last son was born in Seoul while we were on our mission. I feel greatly blessed and know with certainty that Jesus is the Christ, we are led by His prophets, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His Church.
I have retired from the Missionary Department after 26 years of service. I am now doing research/evaluation consulting for the Weber County School District. Unfortunately, the Fri evening 4 April 2003 schedule of the NFE Reunion is in conflict with my missionary reunion for the Korea Seoul Mission where I served a mission president from 1982-1985. I do appreciate receiving your e-mails and the updates on our wonderful group of NFE missionaries. Today (June 2012) Camille and I received our call to serve as temple missionaries for 18 months in the Seoul Korea Temple. We will report to the Provo MTC on Monday, July 23 for two weeks of training and then leave for Korea. We are deeply grateful & excited for this opportunity to serve!
Camille and I just returned home 4 days ago (9-29-12) from our mission at the Seoul Korea Temple on a medical release. We worked closely with the specialist at the International Clinic at Severance Hospital, tried new medications, etc., but the problems could not be resolved there. We loved the experience at the temple, enjoyed the wonderful people we met for the first time, and rejoiced in seeing dear friends we have known for many years. We love all of you, and trust that our health will get better here in Utah over time.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
