I am currently living in Fort Worth, Texas. My wife, Angelia and I have one child left at home. The other six are living in Utah, California, and Texas. I have eleven grand children. I am an educator. I worked for 30 years in Provo School District and now I am working in the Texas Public Schools on an evaluation team for Special Education.
I have met several former Norwegian missionaries here in Fort Worth: Ron Belnap, Charles Malone, and Victor Poulsen. Ron Belnap and I served in a Bishopric together here in Texas. My brother ,Kevin Olson, served a mission in Norway in the mid- 1970's and my nephew, Ben Olson, served in Norway a couple of years ago. My sister-in-law, Ellen-Anita Samuelsen Olson, is a Norwegian convert, and lives in Utah. I have ancestors who joined the Church in Norway, Matthias and Karen Olsen from Nes, Hedemarken; they went to Spring City, Utah in the 1800's. My connections to Norway are deep. I love the country. |
