News Item: Bad Email Page Edits
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add News
Dear Alumni,
I have been updating the entries in the Bad Email listing page. Weekly, I receive a listing of bounced email addresses from the mission. net servers. For those where an email address is no longer current, I wait a couple of weeks and then remove that alumni profile from the active roster and place the name on the Bad Email Addresses page. The profile is still resident in the system and the Alumni can access their page via their username and password (if they've registered since Oct 2005 or updated since).
I am being more active in maintaining the email listing as I receive dozens of bounced notices weekly, some from bad emails addresses and many from SPAM filters on a variety of domain email servers/gateways. The SPAM notices I keep active and make no changes. But I may contact an alumni from time-to-time should their service not allow mission.net email to be sent to them. We at Mission.Net have been fighting a loosing campaign in this area. So, it will be up to each DNM Alumni that I notify of SPAM filter blocking to either change their email address in their profile to a new non-blocked address, or work with their service provider to get mission.net added to the "Safe Senders" listing maintained by their gateway.
Thank you for your continued support with the DNM Hjemmesiden. It is always a pleasure to receive such gracious remarks from the many members of DNM for this site. It is much appreciated to hear how the site has been a benefit. Thank you for those notes of gratitude and appreciation.
Med mange hilsen,
Jim Jezek
DNM Webmaster
