Dear Alumnus, Currently Serving Missionaries, and Friends of Den Norske Misjon Hjemmeside,
Some of you have noticed I am not as responsive as I have been over the past + two years.
My wife, Jenine, was hospitalized from late October 2014 through mid-June 2015 due to respiratory illness (COPD). My eternal companion passed away June 16, 2015 due to her long-term illness. Some may remember Jenine from her year as a student at the Lierbyen Husstelskole in Lierbyen, Norway in 1975-1976. She attended the Drammen Branch and loved being in Noway.
Additionally, my second son was very ill most of 2014 due to an infection that attacked his brain and with Thyroid Papillary cancer. He was treated for both illnesses throughout 2014 and 2015 (seven surgeries on his skull and throat). He has recovered from both and is doing well. Truly a set of miracles in his life for which I am eternally grateful to my Heavenly Father for this gift.
I have obviously devoted the majority of my time to my family needs and less to my other interests.
I have enjoyed being the Webmaster for the DNM over the past 11 years (I believe I started late 2005).
I will be notifying the administrators of Mission.Net in the near future to seek a replacement for the DNM Webmaster.
I think it best to step down at this time and make way for fresh views and blood to take advantage of current technologies in making the site better. If you are interested in being the Webmaster and have the necessary skill set please let me know and I will pass your name along to the Mission.Net admins as a candidate.
Med Vennlig Hilsen,
Jim Jezek
