Vårt Nye KirkeBygg I Oslo
Letter Home, October 21, 1962: “The President has given us word that the missionaries should work on the new church building here in Oslo. The building has been going along all too slowly. We will be going down once every 3 weeks starting Friday to work from 7 AM to 2 PM. Quite a change from the usual, right?” Every 3rd week on scheduled days, each set of Elders had the privilege and opportunity of serving as laborers on the new church building in Oslo. This was the second building The Church built in Norway. Letter, October 29, 1962: “Friday, as I mentioned in my last letter, we went down and worked on the new church building. It was really a change to wrap my hands around a shovel or pick or sledge hammer. We worked really hard for 6 hours and came away from there feeling like we had done something. This feeling was in both mind and body. In mind – a satisfaction that we had done something on the new building. And, in body – a mighty lot of sore muscles that I hardly knew existed at all.”
