Stories: The Mormonaires
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add Story
In the spring of 1967, under the leadership of President Jacobson and his wife, Rose, a handful of very talented missionaries formed a traveling music group called The Mormonaires. All played instruments, all were great singers. They performed all over Norway in LDS venues, school auditoriums and on the beach at Skallevold, outside of Tonsberg. My companion, Paul Proctor, and I watched as the 16-18 year old groupies followed the Elders around like Rock Stars. They were good entertainers and are remembered even today by countless members and their friends who were captivated by their music that summer of 1967. |
