The basement of the Hotel Viking off Jernbanetorvet in Oslo; they served a T-bone steak with fries and Bernaise sauce for 10 kr. The Pavilion (Oslo) served good cod and halibut. Den Runde Tønne had good schnitzel and great pork chops. The place for ice cream was Studenten, near the university (downtown Oslo).
Bergen Train Station served good food especially whale meat, as did Ruth's Kafeteria (reindeer meat balls) and Idun's. Grand Hotel Cafe had great steak dinners.
Drammen had the Park Hotel Cafe and Globus restaurants; pretty fair food. |
