Comments:
One of my goals for after "the mission" was to learn sign language. This came true when I married my husband, who is deaf. I now teach two beginning sign classes at Snow College in addition to other full-time responsibilities. My two daughters, Tyra Lauren (3), and Tiffany Nicole (8 months) are also learning sign.
After "the mission" I attended BGSU (Ohio), recieving an MA in College Student Personnel and an MA in Guidance and Counseling. I have been at Snow College since 1996 and hope to finish my EdD in 2006 from Utah State.
My husband loves to hunt so my other claim to fame is having harvested two bobcats and a 250 lb. black bear. Those experiences seem almost as surreal as what I experienced on "the mission."
I am grateful for my mission experience as I have relied on bits and pieces of it everyday. Tehno saudades! |
