I married my high school sweetheart, Charlene Winegar in 1967, we had 5 children before she died of cancer in March 1983. In October 1983 I married Ruth Ann Stoddard who had 2 children from a previous marriage then we had one more son. Between us we have 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters. Five sons have served full-time missions. I graduated from BYU in 1970 in Animal Science, I ran my own dairy for 6 years, then started a heating and A/C business with my brother. That failed after 5 years then I became a DHIA supervisor for Payette County and worked my way to become the General Manager for Idaho DHIA for 10 years. The economy caused that position to be eliminated so I kind of slowed down and have been driving school bus for the past 20 years. I have served as an Elders Quorum president twice, a High Priest group leader twice, a Ward Sunday School President and the Nampa Idaho West Stake Sunday School President (8 years). We have 26 Grandchildren , and 5 great grandchildren!
We are now serving a mission in the Africa Southeast Area office as Family History Support Missionaries for the next 18 months, it is good to be back in Johannesburg! |
