I married Jenee Bentley of SLC. We have been married 41 years, we have 5 children and 14 grandchildren.
I just retired after working 14 years for the church as a Temple Recorder. I was called to open the St Louis Temple and in 2003 transferred to the Ogden Utah Temple where I retired in April of 2011 after they closed the temple for a 3 year reconstruction project.
My career started with JC Penney, then to Fashion Fabrics. I also was self employed and had a chain of hearing aid stores throughout Utah and Western Colorado. In 1985 I sold the business and went to work for Colonial Life & Accident Ins. company. After 17 months as an agent I was promoted to Regional Vice President and moved to Missouri. I retired from the insurance business in 1996 when I was called to work for the church as the Recorder in the new St Louis Temple.
While in St Louis I served as 1st counselor in the St Louis Missouri Mission Presidency for 4 years, Secretary to the Regional Rep, HP Group Leader and three years as the Mission Director of the St Louis Inner City Mission Project. I have served in a Bishopric as well as in a Stake Presidency.
I graduated from the University of Utah in Political Sci and Business Mgnt and studied law from LaSalle University.
I love to golf, fish and spend time with my children and grandchildren.
Jenee and I just received a call to return to Johannesburg where we will serve a temple mission for 18 months. We are excited to say the least for this call that begins Feb 2012.
It would be nice to hear from some of the missionaries I served with. I served in Zambia, Cape Town, Kimberly, Johannesburg and Pretoria. |
