I concur with Danny Mac- I rode bikes in exactly ONE -ville. This was in Annemasse, and we just bought some old bikes the mission home had for CHF 5.00, then left them there when transferred out. They're probably still there... I definitely would NOT bring a bike. Save your money, you can get everywhere via subway / bus / train / foot.

I don't know why I'm responding here, seeing as it has been YEARS since leaving my mission...but I was there a year or so ago and little had changed: office elders, some at least, drove. I could have used a bike in possibly ONE city. There were some old ones in the storage space for the apartment and we used those once or twice, though mainly for the sheer joy of it. They have bikes in Europe, really they do. If you just have to have one, get a cheapy over there.

For the imput. I know I will find out sooner or later, and do not plan on shipping one there, I was just curious. Another question, do you ever drive there??

I just called to the mission, I enter the MTC on May 12th. I am just wondering on if I needed a bike or not. I am just curious. I have recieved all my information, and no where did it state if I needed, or did not need one. Just a simple little question, and feel free to give me any other pointers, or comments about the mission.

I'm looking for information on Jean-Pierre Jeannin. He was baptised in May of 1979 in Bourg-en-Bresse, France. He is 42 years old now. He later served a mission in France and then moved to Utah for a few years. He returned to France and I lost contact with him a dozen or so years ago. I have tried a number of ways of finding him over the years without any success. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have any information on Hervé Tanguy who was living in Toulon in '83-84. I believe he was baptized in '85. Any info would be appreciated.

I can answer the last two posts. There is no branch in Beaune, but there is a ward in Dijon. I was there last Sunday for their ward conference. Soeur Druon is still there as is her sister Soeur Zuttion. Their mom, Soeur Marechal is very ill with terminal cancer and the ward is fasting and praying for their whole family. The Bishop is Jean-Michel Gaillard and the counselors are Luigi Bassi (la classe) and Frere Perney. Jeremie Baldi just received his mission call to Paris, so further to the MTC then to the mission. Gregory Baldi is awaiting his call and should have it soon. The Goncalos, Fernandez, Retailleaus, Cantonnets, Druons, Zuttions, Valliamees, and a few families that were new to me (within the last 7 years). It was great to see everyone and amazed at how much the kids had grown up (especially the Gaillards). I don't have the address to Soeur Druon, but I will try and get it as I'm going to call the Baldis to find out about Greg's mission call.

I'm looking for the address of Marie-Solange Druon (Marechal). When I last visited (1998), she and her husband were living outside of Dijon, but were thinking of moving to Paris.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Steve

Can anyone tell me if there is a branch in Beaune, FR or if there is a ward or a branch at Dijon? We are considering relocating to the area from the states.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,

The family Mestre (Patricia and Corine) in Clermont just got e-mail and are looking for Elder Sean Eubanks and Elder Dennis McClure and any other missionaries that knew them (I visited them in 1994 and they still have YUMMY dinners!). Does anyone know how to contact them? If they do, let me know and I will forward e-mails or other contact info.
