I have a friend who is serving in the WVCM, how do I get in contact with him/her?
This website is not maintained in the mission, we do not have contact with the missionaries in the field, unless they happen to sign up before they depart. Most "Current Missionary" profiles are maintained by parents.
I can't remember my password, how do I find out what it is?
You can reset it yourself on the login page, or email us though the comments link, and we can reset it for you.
The Weather page is not displaying the weather, can you fix it?
The weather information is from Weather.com and occasionally they have issues so the weather information is not listed.
I have tried emailing an old companion of mine through this website, and he/she never responds. Can you contact him/her for me?
No, we cannot contact anyone for you. The email address might be out of date.
In the poll about (fill in the blank) the answer I want is not listed.

WOWK-TV 13 informed us the Skycam no longer worked, so the page was deleted from the site. There is not much information from the time I served in the Mission.
Hmmm, we do have that issue from the early years of the WVCM. We are doing all we can to have a well rounded site, but hopefully more people from the early years will find us. Hang in there!
I am not an Alumnus from the WVCM, but I want to register, what do I do?
Register under Friends/Members. This section is specifically for people who live in the Mission boundaries, or people who have other connections to the Mission. Please DO NOT sign up in the Alumni directory, as your profile will be deleted.
Why do I have to wait to see my updates on my profile? Why does my new profile not show up? I posted a picture/comment, and it's not there, why?
All items updated or newly registered (alumni, friends/members, currently serving, comments, pictures) have to be approved due to some people posting unacceptable images or comments. I am sure you will agree, we must try to keep this a clean site, suitable for Church Standards. All submitted items will be reviewed within 48 hours for acceptability.
I had family in West Virginia by the name of (enter surname here). I am trying to find information on them. Can you help me?
We do not have any records for Family History for any part of the Mission. We suggest you try FamilySearch to find information.
Can you help me make reservations for a wedding/reception/dinner party at

Um, no. (The Mission office used to be located in the building at 405 Capitol Street) I typed things all in lower case on my profile, now it's not that way, why?
When we go to approve a profile, posting, etc. We correct the format so the site has a standard look. It's nothing personal, it's totally for the visual aspect of the site. Why can't I post a link to a commercial site on my profile or in the messages section?
The reasoning is, this site is a not for profit site, therefore adding links to commercial sites would let someone benefit monetarily from this site--which is unacceptable.
My password isn't working and I know its right, what do I do?
Click on the forgotten password link or reset password link and go from there. If that doesn't work, send the webmasters an email and we can reset it for you. In December 2004, mission.net took the site down for a week and there have been issues with passwords ever since.
