After coming home from mission, went to BYU and got a degree in Chemical Engineering. Married Annette Crowley in '62. Went to work for Phillips Petroleum Co. and lived in Canada, Puerto Rico, and various places in the states during the 34 years working for them. Longest place lived was near Houston, Tx for 19 years. Recently retired and moved to Springville, Ut. to be close to grandchildren and children.
We enter the Senior Missionary Training Center (SMTC) on Oct. 21st, 2002 headed for the Santiago Chile Temple. We are now in Santiago, Chile. Somehow these people don't understand Nippongo....Been here for 2.5 months....Spanish is easier than Japanese....it is coming along quite well. Terry Berger
Aug 2006..I'm at the MTC in Provo serving as Branch President of 1 of 2 branches of Japanese Missionaries. We have 51 missionaries (5 sisters) in the branch right now. All 51 are some of the finest missionaries that I have seen in my 2+ years here.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
