Comments:
March 1967 she was in Tokyo South as a senior to Bonnie Anderson.
June 1967 she was transferred from to Kyoto. In August 1967 she was senior to a Sister Stoddard. Nov 1967 she completed her mission in Kyoto to return home.
She is the mother of 8 children.
Her husband (J. Brent Nielsen) was on the High Council in the Moscow Idaho Stake, and Wm Walker interviewed him when he went to their stake do do a reorganization. At the end of the Saturday Evening session she came up and introduced herself to Bill. He immediately remembered her. They served at the same time in the NFE. She was an excellent missionary, and it appears that she has been a remarkable and wonderful mother in Zion.
Thanks Bill Walker
Married 2nd husband, Brent Nielsen, Feb 22, 1992 in Seattle Temple. He owns insurance agency in our hometown of Colfax, WA (population 2,700) in a wheat belt known as The Palouse Region - 60 miles south of Spokane. He insures crops, many large farms, homes, autos, etc.
Quit my job as a Wells Fargo Insurance Agent in Moscow, ID & came to Orem, UT 3 yrs ago to help 3rd daughter, Erica, a single mother with 3 children whose 2 yr old boy became very ill shortly after she began a Masters Program in Tax Acctng @ the Marriott School @ BYU. She has been working now for 2 yrs @ a CPA firm near University Mall & bought a house nearby.
2nd daughter, Tani & family live in Pullman, WA - husband attending Washington State Univ. I commute back & forth between Orem & Colfax with visits to Puyallup.
Brent comes here several times per year, too. We see each other about every 4-6 weeks.
We will be in Orem. Summers will be in Colfax with trips to Puyallup.
Currently in Cherry Hill 3rd Ward, Cherry Hill Stake in Orem. Brent is on the High Council in the Pullman, WA Stake. Last year, in addition to that, he taught 15 seminary students in the basement of our home in Colfax because the country road to the chapel 3 miles out of town was under construction & dangerous. "Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
