Hey everyone! I've been looking all over for the Davao mission boundaries. I have a friend in the General Santos area who I want to hook up with the missionaries and I cannot for the life of me figure out which mission area he's in.
Does anyone know??
Thanks!

Hello everyone, I think I put a note on here when my son Zack got his mission call to the Philippines, well he came home this past June. How this brought back so many memories and as a matter of fact, my other son and I went to the Philippines to pick him up from his mission. He served in the Baguio Mission. What a beautiful place. I didnt have a chance to go south to Davao but my boys got to meet their grandmother and cousin whom they have never met before. If any of you served in Panabo it was Alicia Jabillo. It was fun to visit the Philippines and that's my first visit since I served over 30 years ago. What a great time we all had. My son can't say enough about it, its for sure in his blood since his dad is filipino. He just loved it and we have this special common knowledge of something we share quite often. His language skills are so good and well mine, not so good, at least him and his dad can communicate alot better, lol. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, Merry Christmas!!!!

My family and I just returned from Davao on July 25, 2011. We had a great time. On Samal Island there is a great vacation resort called Paradise Island. We stayed there for a week and then in Calinan for another week +. Things change from year to year. Most rice was 38 peso per kilo. gasoline was 56 peso per liter. A trike ride around town was 7 peso. A large sprite was 26 peso's. The people are still the same. Some are doing well and some are struggling.
We visited the Mission Home in Insular Village and met the new mission president of only 1 month. It has changed alot. We took pictures if anyone is interested. You can now buy just about anything you want in the philippines. What a great vacation

Greetings from Saudi Arabia! I just finished typing up my missionary letters to my family that I wrote from Davao City from May to October 1977. What an incredible experience it was to be a missionary in Davao City as we transitioned from the Philippine Cebu City Mission to the Philippine Davao Mission. If anyone would like copies of the photos I took I have uploaded them to my FaceBook account and if you add me as a friend you will have access to them. I'm also looking for photos that other missionaries have taken during these early days of the new mission in Davao that I would enjoy sharing. Presently I'm looking to make contact with the following Elders: George Williamson from Vidor, Texas. Patrick Miller from Mollala, Oregon. John Hunter from Bountiful. Roger Preble from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have made contact with my other companions... which has been great. It would great to make contact with the other elders and sisters I served with in Davao and Zamboanga. Congratulations to everyone celebrating the 50 Jubilee of the church in the Philippines this month April 2011. We did good! Keep on Tractin' Pete

My one and only son was called to serve in California Ventura Mission. His MTC entry date is June 9, 2010. My wife Susan and I are very excited for this kid. He'll be preaching in Spanish. " Mabuhay ang Pilipino"....
