Hi to all PDM..Rm's...To all the elders and sisters that I've been with.. pls tell them that we could update each other on this web page. Last week I've been missing my mission and even remember the smile of the KALASANGAN in trento, cold, humid weather of the kidapawan. My mission is the best and that I always be proud of. I even tell the stories of this whole 2 years to my non-member co-workers.
Pls those who still remember me send me updates.

In a recent update sent to me from the webmaster regarding the mission website prompted me to look around the site and see what was new. To my utter surprise I saw a photo of President Jones with Kurt Wiest dated October 07. I couldn't believe my eyes because I thought he had already passed away. After a bit of digging around for phone numbers I was able to speak with president Jones personally. It is difficult to describe the feelings that flooded over me when I told him how often I had thought about he and Sister Jones ober the years. He is almost 94 yrs old and living in Washington State. He remarried Bernice and apart from physical challenges from old age he still has a sharp mind. After nearly 30 years from returning from the PI I still have extremely strong feelings about the country, the people, the work and companions and the Joneses. Funny how life does that to you. My feelings for President and Sister Jones are as strong today as they were in 1979 when I left the mission field. The influence a mission president can have on a young man is very powerful and I am glad this man influenced my life for the better.

Kumusta to all Fellow PDM R.M's. Serving a mission in Davao was a life changing event. I was so blessed to have that opportunity and now with a family of my own, I am seeing the blessings from serving this mission. I Know God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. I am grateful for the atonement which means so much more with everyday that goes by. I am a thankful for the great example shown by the late President Gordon. B Hinckley. My love to all of you my brothers and sisters in the Gospel.

Hello Mark, I finally was able to say thanks to you for this wonderful site that you created. It is nice to know that someone out there is willing to spend the time to try to connect members and friends. I am really grateful of the gospel and especially grateful for those young missionaries who served in Davao, Buhangin area and patiently shared the gospel to me. I was baptized 27 December and I still thought of that as the greatest gift I ever received because I am still enjoying it! Keep up the good work. You have such a wonderful heart.
