I had a wonderful mission. I began serving in Brazil - in the Sao Paulo South Mission and was transferred to Portugual after 3 months because I became subject to the Brazilian military draft. I served 23 months in Portugal. My Brother Layne worked with me in Brazil and my brother Howard was my companion for 3 days in Portugal. Loved all my presidents, President Beitler in Brazil, Pinegar in Portugal and Coryell. My Brother Cory came to Portugal with his family in late 1979 to set up the seminary program on the Iberian Peninsula - he lived in Estoril and I was able to be near him and his family for 3 months. He was a counselor to Pres. Coryell.
Attended BYU 1980-84 - graduated from law school in 88. Married JaLayne Garlick of American Fork, Utah. 7 children. Adam (24 and married), Claire (23 and married), Lauren 20 (Soph at BYU), Andrew (18 - Sr. in HS), Seth (15 - soph in HS), Lincoln (12 - 7th grade), Steven (9 - 4th grade).
We live in American Fork, Utah near the Mount Timpanogos Temple. |
