Comments:
Married Martha Jane Carson in December, 1966. 8 Children (6 boys, 2 girls). All the boys served missions. One daughter is a social worker in Hawaii and the other is an elementary school teacher in Durham, NC. 5 of the sons are married and there are currently 8 grandchildren. Two of the sons are attorneys, one is a pilot in the USAF, one is an accountant, one is an IT person and the other is a food services manager. I served in a bishopric for six years and as a bishop of a YSA ward for 7 years. I am currently on the high council of our stake. Martha is the Stake Relief Society President. I visited Tahiti in late September 2007with Martha (a gift from our children). We spent most of our time in Tahiti and Moorea. We were hosted by Pres. Stone and Jerry and Connie Faerber in Tahiti and Joel Hart in Moorea. I am now a convert to the premise that "things never are as they were and never will be".

I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the wonderful blessing I had to serve with each of you as a missionary in Tahiti and for the singular blessing of having served with and been taught by President Stone. My experiences in Tahiti set the tone for my spiritual life. I consider each of you my brother and sister.
