2006-10-30 Jacob has been home from his mission just a bit more than one year. He was weeks away from completing his mission when the North American missionaries were removed so his completion date was changed from Nov 12th to Oct 23rd. He returned to Venezuela for a visit in May (Yes, I had another phone call from VE on Mother's Day! :-) ) and had a wonderful time visiting with some of the many, many wonderful people he met during his mission. It was really hard for him to leave without saying good-bye and it was important for him to return as soon as possible. I'm glad he was able to return. He loves Venezuela and he loves the Saints in Venezuela.
Jacob is marrying his sweetheart, Maria, in the Mesa Arizona Temple in November. He met Maria after his mission and she shares his love for Venezuela since she too served a mission in that nation, Venezuela Maracaibo Mission June 2001 - December 2002.
