I'm thankful for the opportunity I had to serve as a missionary in Colombia and Venezuela. It was wonderful to share the message of the restored gospel with so many people and to see the changes wrought in their lives by the Spirit.
Two years after returning from the mission field I was married to Heidi Anne Sontag in the Oakland Temple. We're the parents of four wonderful children with 10 grandchildren.
Our eldest son, Colin served a mission to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He and his wife have graduated from BYU, USU, and University of Limerick. They have 4 children.
Nathan served a mission in Panama and then graduated from BYU and Juilliard. He's been a world class trumpet player and Carnigie Hall fellow. He is currently pursuing a Phd at ASU in music education. He and his wife have 2 children.
Trevor served in the Belo Horizonte East Mission in Brazil. He graduated from BYU and Parker Chiropractic College and is the owner is Inspire Wellness Center in Austin, TX. He is married with 3 children.
Our daughter Megan is a BYU graduate who has worked as a French and English teacher and is currently working as a birth coach. Her husband, Jordan, who served a mission to Japan also graduated from BYU and the U of Michigan and is in a Phd program at UC Davis. They have one child.
