November 22, 1995: James Hendrick (Venezuela Caracas West, 1991-1993) created the first alumni mission page for Venezuela with following purposes:- To provide a means for alumni of the Venezuela Caracas Mission to get in touch with each other.
- To provide a forum for new missionaries to talk with alumni of the mission to which they have been called.
- To publish the histories of the mission and missionaries that were honored to serve in Venezuela.
When James graduated, the mission page was turned over to Jonathan Call (Venezuela Caracas West, 1991-1993). He maintained the page on the servers of the College of Engineering and Technology at BYU for about two years, before he graduated.
January 7, 1998: Jonathan moved the mission pages to mission.net where they would be protected from further movements. At that time, Jonathan briefly gave up direct maintenance of the pages due to his new job.
April 1998: Four months later, Jonathan returned to maintain the alumni pages while James took over the history, email and proofing of the site.
January 1999: Matt Hirst maintained a mission alumni web site from approximately 23 Jan 1999 until 17 Sep 2000. This web site was not linked from Mission.net, so some alumni never did find it, but many alumni did. Shortly after the new SIB site was up and running, Matt generously made all of his previous work available to the new webmaster.
November 9, 2001: Erin Howarth (Venezuela Caracas East 1991-1993) communicated with the fellows at Mission.net and replaced the Hendrick and Call page with a new SIB (site in a box) page. SIB was developed by Dan Wilson (California Oakland 1994-1996). The new site has interactive features, and it is hoped that the alumni will appreciate this latest change.
