. . .. and we can all gather and meet. If you happen to have some spare time on April 3rd and would like to hang out with old friends, then join us at Lehi Legacy. It would be awesome to see each other after a decade, reminisce on great memories and just build a solid support system as an eternal family. At least that's my perception of it :-) So if you served during Pres. Revillo's Era, or had a companion who served during his time, then please join us.

I will soon be in the Philippines and would like to know the basic tricks that are specific to this mission. Ex: clothes/fabric, shoes, weather, parasites, current religious activity/spirituality of natives, etc. Please let me know any other tricks or harsh realities and truths of this mission. I have heard rumors that toilet paper is not always available. Is this a lie, or should I start practicing different techniques. Obviously, the more current the better. Thanks folks.

There is a great story on www.lds.org about the Church humanitarian effort to provide disabled Pilipinos with wheelchairs. You can go to www.lds.org and click on Newsroom and you should be able to find the story.

Any recent RMs that served in Catarman. Do you know if the Lovino family is still active in the church? They lived on the East side of town just before crossing the bridge that goes to UEP.
Thanks.

A Reunion for United States/Europe based PTM Missionaries who served under President Carlos C. Revillo was held Friday, March 30th, 2007 at Riverdale, Utah. Approximately 25-30 Alumni were in attendance, as well as many spouses and countless children of Alumni. A swell time was had by all. We hope many others will join our next event. Let us ensure that we keep our contact information current, and encourage anyone else that we are still in touch with to do the same. A special thanks to Brother and Sister Robert D. Warren for their efforts in organizing the affair.

My son will be entering the MTC later this month and we are in the process of buying all of his 'stuff' to take. I belong to a missionary mom's email list, but none of the missionaries listed there are serving in the Tacloban mission. I've gotten all kinds of advice on brands of shoes, style (sandals vs. crocks) and toiletry and first aid items to take, but they all say something different. I've also been told that things can vary a lot depending on the part of the country in which you're serving. I'm hoping that someone whose had some experience in Tacloban can give some helpful advice... any volunteers?
Thanks in advance.
